MARC BROWN, KABC ANCHOR: Even in the communication age, communication is often the first casualty of adolescence.
STUDENT: A lot of the students don't want to get in trouble, so they lie to their parents.
BROWN: So, some Arcadia High School parents are evenning the score with a visit to cyberspace. It's called Intouch Online which stands for Internet Student Information System. It's a means by which any parent with a computer and a modem can keep track of their child's grades and their attendance and a host of other items through the Internet. Intouch Online means parents can see their kid's grades all through the semester. Keep track of discipline problems their kids might not be telling them about. And find out if they've been missing class.
MIKE FUNDERBURK, VICE PRESIDENT, EDULINK SYSTEMS: By the end of second period, you can tell if your child was in school or not first period.
LINDA JOHNSON, MOTHER: We talk a little bit more, I think, because of it. Especially when she comes home from school and Mom's on the computer saying "Excuse me... come in here. Where were you third period?
